8.5 months and 17 weeks

(We were trying to take Christmas pictures for cards)
In the last two weeks things are progressing fast with my Emery. She has learned to sit up on her own and crawl on her hands and knees! She is "talking" more too. We have gone from three naps down to two naps. And she plays longer by herself. She is so mischevious! Always trying to get into something. One second she is right next to you and the next she is down the hall almost to the front door. And boy does she love trying to open the fireplace glass doors. I am trying to figure out how to baby proof those but haven't come up with anything yet. Emery is also pulling herself up to her knees on just about anything she can get her hands onto, even if its not sturdy! She loves shoes and untying them and eating the shoestrings. And will put just about anything in her mouth she can find!
Her 1st Thanksgiving was great. We spent it with her Parrain and some friends of ours. Lots and lots of food for us and Emery ate her baby food. She is still on stage 2 foods and we have tried Stage 3 but she doesn't like it. Oh and still no teeth. I think that's on her list to Santa, some teeth! We moved her crib mattress down to low so that if she does get up to her feet she won't topple out!
Still the ever inqusitive baby, she watches everything anyone does and is so serious! We went to see Santa and boy oh boy, placed in his hands it was a no go! She cried and started at him with the look of "oh no!" We got a picture but both Santa and Emery look scared! What a fun memory!
Ah and she eats or chews on her toes alot. Not sure what that is is about, but she wakes up with wet socks or feet on her jammies most days!

The baby #2 is looking good. Everything is going fine. If I could just get rid of this sinus infection and cough and be able to breathe again! I still haven't put on any weight, but the Dr doesn't seem concerned. A couple of more weeks and we will know for sure what sex the baby will be. I still can't believe in about 5 months we will have 2 babies in our house! After everything we went through how blessed are we?!

Well gotta run Miss Priss cannot get to one of her toys and is whining!
