Family Gathering and disbursment

There are so few weekends like the ones we've had lately. Family and friends spending time together while being happy and feeling complete.
This weekend was spent enjoying the company of friends who recently had a baby boy. He is adorable and so good. It was a joy to eat a nice resturant and watch him sleep.
Then Auntie D came into town to visit and help her second child move up to college. How quickly she grew this little cousin T of mine. I can remember holding her on the sofa at her parents house when she was just an infant and daydreaming about when she'd be old enough to play with...and now she's old enough to take care of herself.
Then to have the family of Auntie D come up on Sunday to visit and have lunch. I made an awesome pot of Shrimp Etouffe, which I ended up having for lunch today. Man it was good. Nice and creamy with loads of white shrimp. And nice wilted onions and peppers. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. maybe I should make another pot!
But I digress...the weekend was beautiful. Our lovely new furniture arrived early on Sat morning. Boy it was hot and I felt horrible for those men who had to lugg it inside the house and then set it up. But its soooo wonderful. I truly feel like a grown up now...at 32 my first real bedroom set.
Oh what a weekend, when your dancing on the ceiling! LOL

What do you mean You're NOT a morning Person?

I am tired tired tired of hearing, how can you not be a morning person. Just go to be earlier. Wake up at the sametime everyday, you'll get use to it. Drink Coffee. What's wrong with you?

"I am NOT a morning person."

I have done a very scientific study...between me, My Mother, My Brother and My Hubby. Two of which are morning people, two are not. My Mother and I are the are NOTS. 32 and 50 years later, we still aren't. Mom of course says I never was...even as a child. So in my study we have both tried all the above mentioned ideas, and guess what not a single one worked. So I say science take notice, there are morning people who just wake up and go on with their day and are all happy and then there are those who don't want to talk for an hour or so, don't want to eat, don't want bright lights, and they sure as heck don't want to hear...what's wrong with you? are you in a bad mood? Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?
Becuase no I didn't, I wake up on the same side of the bed every morning, and have tested the theory of changing sides...didn't work.

Though I do want to say to my hubby, thank you so much for getting use to being quiet and slow in the mornings with me. Your the best.

Day 1 but Day 11

Its simple. We are married, trying to get pregnant and I am stressed out at work.
Today is my first blog...so far I can tell it won't be one of my best...but I guess I could go with something I use to do on my old one.

Things I love:

  • Reading great books that get you involved so deeply that you don't want to put it down.
  • Cooking a great big meal and it tasting good enough to eat leftovers.
  • Sleeping in a dark cold room snuggled up with my puppy (ok not a puppy in age, but in my eyes will always be a pup!)
  • Daydreaming, about today and tomorrow and really getting into it.
  • Uncontrolable laughter, the kind that makes you shrink down where ever you are sitting or standing.
  • Shopping and finding a really great outfit that fits perfectly and is the perfect price.

Enough for today...just getting use to this blogging thing...
