10 weeks

Happy 10 weeks Emery Ruth.
This past week you have had family including Mimi and Jenni and Jeff and Parrian and Ashley come and visit you. You have started expressing your voice more and more and making better eye contact. You still hate tummy time, however you will lay there for a longer period of time before you start crying. We got you this new toy thats a snail that lights up and plays music. You seem to really like it when it "talks" to you and when you stare at the mirror on it you "talk" back. You've been smiling more and have giggled in your sleep a couple of times. We really can't wait to hear you laugh when you are awake.
We've also come to realize that you are schedule kinda kid. If you don't follow a regular schedule then you are fussy mess! We are gradually changing over your formula back to the Similac Advance so that you can travel without having to lug around a liquid formula that has to be refriderated and warmed up.
You are so cute, we just can't get over your button nose, monkey toes, long fingers and gray eyes with a light gray center. You fully fit in Newborn size clothes and size 1 diapers! We are going to try on 0-3 months clothes to see if you will fit in them too. You love your kick and play mat and staring out the back door window. Your swing lulls you to sleep when nothing else will.
I still wake up at any sound you make in the middle of the night. I still try to get you to sleep when you are awake so that you will learn to soothe yourself. I still rock you when you are upset. I still change you when you first get wet. You hate to be dirty. You demand to be cleaned as soon as you poop.
