We made it...37 weeks FULL TERM!

I am still in awe over making it so far through this pregnancy. We cannot wait to welcome our little girl into our little family. And I cannot wait to have her outside my body! She moves ALOT and enjoys streching out her little legs and making me have to pee very frequently.
Today's Dr. visit I have gained a total of 21.8 lbs over 37 weeks. BP is perfect. Everything looks great and little girl's heartbeat is going strong. Nothing much to do but wait.
Monday 02/28 will be my final day of work. I can't wait. I am so ready for a break and to be able to get the house ready and maybe take a few naps before she comes.
Baby's room is pretty much complete, even though it doesn't matter..she won't be in there for weeks. There isn't much left to do, and not much to say. I am tired, I have heartburn, I'm hungry but so in love with having this little girl.

Ohhh but this weekend Sat night our Mardi Gras ball. I hope to be up to dancing and eating and enjoying all of our friends and the fun to be had.

And for your viewing pleasure...37 weeks belly.

Today is week 36!

Can you believe we made it this far? One more week and this little one will be full term! I cannot believe it! Nor can I wait much longer for her to be here with us! And I think she can't wait either...not much room left in here..

Well I put in my notice at work, for those of you who don't know. My last day is the end of this month. I am sad to leave but happy I can be home with Emery and watch her as she grows! I have so much I want to teach her and show her!
I am off to the Dr today for our 36 week check up. Probally not a good idea to have had that glass of coke this morning! LOL! Somedays I just can't help it. Now I am downing the water to try and make it appear that I am healthier than I ate and drank this morning!

This week we have had Daddy Boot Camp, Baby Care...we learned to diaper, bathe, swaddle and burp the baby. I sure hope we are ready for this. We also have breastfeeding class and Car Seat Saftey class coming up along with Infant CPR! I think we should be pretty good parents after all the classes and books and advise we have gone over in the last 9 months!

So here it is about 26 days left to go!

35th week update

This is the week of the The-Riot Girls reunion! I nearly had all of my Mom's family come in for a visit! Again this little baby girl is spoiled! I can't imagine any family loving a baby more than mine! They flew in from all over the country just to be a part of this weekend! We shopped, and ate, and cooked, and partied and loved all weekend long. Sometimes it was a bit crazy, but hey its family and that's what happens. Everyone can't wait to see Emery and be a part of her life and I can't wait for that either.
By the time I dropped the last one off at the airport I was dog tired and ready for some sleep, when I think nesting set in. I ended up at Walmart buying orginization containers and items and redoing all the cabinets and closet. Now I can't stop myself and need to do this in the baby's room. Which would be this weekend while I am working on all the other things we have to do. I really need a weekend off where we have nothing planned!
I don't have a pic of 35th week yet. I am sure one of the ladies of the weekend will send one soon.
Ohhh and I also was given a shower at my office too. Emery has everything a baby could possible need and more right now. I think she needs a second bedroom for all of her stuff!

34 weeks update

I know I haven't updated in a while, things are CRAZY right now.
But here it goes.
At 34 weeks not only was it my birthday, Superbowl weekend but also the weekend before superbowl was our Big D baby shower. We are so blessed to have truly amazing friends who love us like family. I cannot thank our friends for throwing such an amazing Mardi Gras baby shower for us. We were showered with things for Emery and she is going to be one spoiled little angel!
Also this week we had snow and ice storms, so I had lots of time off of work, but I was busy getting the house organized and cleaned since we were having a Superbowl party at our house. My Dad got to fly in for a short visit and it was great having him with us. Dad is such a super awesome guy, he totally hangs and is one of the most important people in my life. I am so happy for the realationship we have and know that he is going to be an amazing Grandfather!
And here it is a pic of us at 34 weeks...

As for the snow and ice...I've had enough. Give me the sun and heat! Yes even being pregnant I love the heat!

33 weeks...6 more to go

The last week was pretty good, we had a wonderful baby shower in Mr's hometown with family and friends. It was so much fun and everything was so beautiful. We could not ask for better family than we both have. They are amazing and have been so thoughtful with everything since we started trying to have this amazing little girl!
We recieved many gifts and special little things. We are overly thankful for everything.
On Sunday I started with a small cold. It progressively got worse until I had to go to the Dr on Wed. Nothing major just a cold. Nothing to do but let it run its course. Ugh. I haven't had a cold in a year. This sucks! I don't have much to say cause I am tired and sick still.
I am at the point where I am ready for her to be here. I am ready to not be pregnant. I am ready to play with her and love her.
Here is the belly at 33 weeks.

32 weeks and TIRED!

Here it is 32 weeks along. Now I am starting to get cranky. I cry if I don't get my way, I am mad for no reason, I am happy crazy for no reason...I think being pregnant makes you Bi Polar. The heartburn today could have killed a grown man. I now understand why people say that you can get indigestion and heartburn so bad it feels like a heart attack. I had that today. I went and got tums from the downstairs store and while I was there picked up a Kit Kat and a 7up. I mean I still gotta keep my fuel up right. And I was mad that they didn't have Ginger Ale. Cause its what I wanted. But I got over it.

Also I could use a nap. And I just woke up from sleep for 9 hours. Well did I really sleep? I mean I remember getting up to potty and I rememeber waking up from a dream, but I don't remember the dream and I thought I was awake and waiting for my alarm to go off. Who knows.

Here it is me at 32 weeks or rather the belly at 32 weeks...yes Daddy I know you are reading, but hey its getting big!

I can't tell if its a shadow or if she was moving around...but there ya go.

Off to the In Laws for the weekend tomorrow...fun times, baby shower, good food and family and friends. We totally can't wait! Plus I can lay around since I won't be at home and cleaning my own house. Just relax!

Ok back to the work, hi ho hi ho.

31 weeks.

Oh my, belly is getting bigger and bigger everyweek! The ultrasound was done this past week and Emery is already 3lbs 2 oz of joy. She loves to move and strech, which I don't like so much cause it hurts when she pokes out! Its kinda like that movie Spaceballs where the alien is moving all around and then pops out and starts singing. Its all I can think of when she does that!

The little Princess's room is going to get set up this weekend. Finally. I know I know we are slow. But its time, build the crib, take the dresser out the box, get the closet organized, get clothes and shoes organized...you know just set it up. I still need to find curtains, but I guess if I don't by the time my Mom gets here in Feb she will do it. And speaking of Feb, I cannot wait to hug all my Aunts and Cousins who I miss ever so much! Its going to be a fun time of bonding and I can't hardly contain my excitment.

So much to do to prepare for this special event in our lives. And so much to worry about. Yes I am scared, scared of the surgery, scared of being a Mom, scared of how I will react to having someone attached to me for life, scared of the big needle that has to go into my back. Yes I am worried, worried that I won't be a good Mother, a good Wife, a housekeeper and worried that I will fail and not know how to react. But I am also happy and looking forward to all of this and the future. I know it will be hard, I know it will be great, I know I can handle it.

31 weeks gone by so fast...8 weeks left to go...58 days left...thats just 2 months and a day and what we wanted so badly for the past 3 years will finally be in our arms!

30 weeks and 9 left to go. Are the holiday over?

The past two weeks have been spent traveling back and forth from Texas to Louisiana to visit family and friends for the holidays and having a wonderful baby shower in between. I am so very tired. But still holding on. I cannot believe there is only 9 weeks left to go. 9 more Monday's and 9 more quiet weeks. Excited and scared doesn't even begin to describe what I am feeling!

Dr. Visit yesterday went as expected. Measuring right on track 29.5 belly, Up to 14 total lbs put on weight wise, blood pressure perfect, pains all just about right. LOL! We will have a beautiful Ultrasound done on 02/11 to see our little girl and all her body parts. Mostly I want to know her cord is alright and no where near her. Even though her little legs and feet kick my ribs I guess thats a good sign, at least I know she is moving around. Her heartbeat was all great...glug glug glug. I can't wait to meet her!

My baby shower in NOLA was amazing. My cousins did a wonderful job with the help of my friend Bug! It was beautiful and loved having my family around me and feeling our little Princess. She is already being spoiled with gifts and love. She is going to have more clothes and shoes than me before you know it. I'll have to move out the master closet!

Well here is a pic of my big ole belly at 30 weeks! We only have 9 weeks left to go!

28 Weeks or 7 months or...

Starting the 3rd trimester or 11 weeks till Birth-Day or 77 days till little girl comes into our lives!

We made it. Emery is at the 95% viability stage in her life. She could survive on her own if born now. While it wouldn't be easy at least I know our adorble little girl would make it. What an amazing journey we have had just to get to this point in the pregnancy. I can't seem to thank everyone enough for their prayers and joy surrounding our struggle to get pregnant and then our pregnancy. Its amazing and we couldn't ask for anything more right now.

I am preparing for a 5 hour drive to go home to my In Law's House for Christmas and celebrating all that we have this year. And to see our beautiful niece who is due a month after us. I can't wait to see her little belly too! She too is having a little girl, so these two will be so close in age and will have each other thru the years to play with, totally awesome!

I think Sammy the Wonder Mutt is starting to realize something is going on in my tummy too. He comes by me but doesn't walk all over me anymore. And now he just lays his head on my tummy. Its cute. But I have no idea how he is going to be when there is something his size, in my arms or Daddy's arms all the time, crying and other things! Poor Sammy, hopefully he doesn't go into depression dog stage again.

Here is my 28 week tummy shot..as of Wed I gained 11.5 lbs so far, heartbeat is in the 130s and I took my glucose test so we will know next week the results of that. It wasn't that bad, the drink tasted like a really strong gatoraid drink.

Merry Christmas to you all!
