28 Weeks or 7 months or...

Starting the 3rd trimester or 11 weeks till Birth-Day or 77 days till little girl comes into our lives!

We made it. Emery is at the 95% viability stage in her life. She could survive on her own if born now. While it wouldn't be easy at least I know our adorble little girl would make it. What an amazing journey we have had just to get to this point in the pregnancy. I can't seem to thank everyone enough for their prayers and joy surrounding our struggle to get pregnant and then our pregnancy. Its amazing and we couldn't ask for anything more right now.

I am preparing for a 5 hour drive to go home to my In Law's House for Christmas and celebrating all that we have this year. And to see our beautiful niece who is due a month after us. I can't wait to see her little belly too! She too is having a little girl, so these two will be so close in age and will have each other thru the years to play with, totally awesome!

I think Sammy the Wonder Mutt is starting to realize something is going on in my tummy too. He comes by me but doesn't walk all over me anymore. And now he just lays his head on my tummy. Its cute. But I have no idea how he is going to be when there is something his size, in my arms or Daddy's arms all the time, crying and other things! Poor Sammy, hopefully he doesn't go into depression dog stage again.

Here is my 28 week tummy shot..as of Wed I gained 11.5 lbs so far, heartbeat is in the 130s and I took my glucose test so we will know next week the results of that. It wasn't that bad, the drink tasted like a really strong gatoraid drink.

Merry Christmas to you all!

27 weeks DONE and 12 more to GEAUX!

Notice the proper way to spell GO in our world is GEAUX...as in GEAUX Tigers, Geaux Saints! Whoo hooo!

The last 27 weeks seemed at the time to go by at a snails pace but looking back now so close to the end they flew by! I can't believe that we are so close to finally having our darling little baby in our arms. After all the pain and suffering and emotions its coming up on us so quickly. I cannot express the happiness that I feel, and I am also double sure the Mr. feels also.

Our little Wiggle Worm is just that a little wiggle -er. She moves often and can't stand things to touch my tummy on top of her. Its pretty funny if you ask me. I tend to pull up under my desk at work just to make her kick me. Then she will get me back by curling up into a ball and pressing her butt out. Dang that hurts. But it sure is cute. She loves to give her Daddy a show at night when we lay down. It looks like she is trying to kick her way out. And you can see it all!

Here is my belly at 27 weeks (just this morning)

Yep I am shaped like an Egg..I know. Miss Emery moves down low while I am sleeping and than during the day she wiggles her way up into my lungs. So by the end of the day I am not very hungry but I wake up starving. C'est la vie...anything for my little girl!

Is there really on 13 Weeks left?

Little Miss Emery Ruth will be making her debut in just 13 short weeks! I am positive after Christmas the weeks are going to fly by and I feel so not ready to bring her home from the hospital as of yet. The crib, while beautiful is still in pieces on the floor of her room. We don't have a dresser yet (though that could be fixed this weekend if my Darling Mr will go with me to pick one of the 7 I have in mind!) But what else is that we don't really have alot of "things" yet. I keep thinking, what does an infant really need anyway besides her parents and a bed and clothes and diapers? Oh I know...a sane Mother who has everything to make her life just a little easier! Bottles, Bibs, toys, swings, bouncers, carseats, blankets, sheets, changing stuff and I am sure so much more.

We went to the lovely OB this week and here is our little talk.
Dr. "you look great, how are you feeling"
Me "great, my hip is giving me trouble but nothing major"
Dr. "ok phyiscal thearpy for you"
Dr. "baby measuring right on target, lets listen to her heartbeat, oh darn she kicked the doppler, you got a fiesty one there"
Dr. "lets measure your belly...and she kicked me again! and again"
Me "yea she's turned from a Tapeworm to a Wiggle worms, moves all the time"
Dr. "well everything looks great, you are still a little underweight but since everything looks so good and your tests are all normal, nothing to worry about. Keep eating"
Me "don't worry that's about all I do!"

So here it is two weeks till Christmas and our road trip to Mr.'s hometown for the holiday then back to the Big D until our Plane ride back to NOLA for New Year's Eve!
I plan on eating and eating!

Has it been nearly a month?

Oh my...I am sorry for those few of you who read this. We have been so busy and crazy that at sometimes I thought I couldn't get thru another day...but alas I am still here and still pregnant.
I am offically 25 weeks with our darling little girl and couldn't be happier.
We have decided on a name for this little one and it will be Emery Ruth! The little Tapeworm has turned into a Wiggle Worm. She kicks and moves all the time. Especially when Momma is trying to sleep or you put anything on top of her. This makes for a difficult time at work when my chair is pulled up so I can type. The desk sits in the middle of my stomach and Emery likes to try and kick it away. While fun I kinda have to say I can't wait to have my body back!
Christmas is coming up very soon and the Mr and I are going to his hometown for Christmas. I can't wait to see the family and eat! Yes I heart the eating, can't help it! Then the week after that back to NOLA (my hometown) for a wonderful New Years and babyshower! It will offically be our 4th anniversary of our very first kiss. We kissed in this great little bar and have spent every NYE in NOLA freezing our tooshies off! This year we have reservations, so no freezing for us. However I will miss the fun of the drinks and walking the French Quarter...but C'est la vie!
Oh and did I mention all the eating I want to do while back in NOLA? Yea...um there is lots of it!
Well back to work...gong the bell is it time to go home yet?

23 Weeks

Today has been a day of joy and reflection. I still can't believe after 2.5 years of trying for a baby I really am pregnant with a little girl. And its all going really good.
My Darling Mr. was there for it all, the months of being upset for not getting pregnant, the morning tempature taking, the peeing on sticks, the testing, the blood testing, the feelings of depression and like a failure...always there to tell me that it was going to be ok, it was going to work out. Thru all the Dr. apts, the ones with news, the ones without. He learned to give me shots and how to keep me calm. He was there to hold my hand when everything hurt and when I was going into my apts. He is amazing and I can't believe our daughter will have him for her Father. Thank you honey...no really thank you!

And now we move onto our little IVF miracle, our baby girl, my little tapeworm. She's doing great. Feels like she is doing acrobats in my belly all the time. I poke at her and move her around, the Mr says not to do that but hey I like to feel her! I go back to the Dr. in early Dec to get a check up and then we start our twice a month apts. We've bought her a few things here and there but still have mucho things to get for her. A dresser is becoming #1 priorty soon.

How I am feeling, well "at my age" lol, I still love that saying...no really I am good. Still tired often but to be expected and my hip is killing me, but its a small price to pay for such a great thing to come! I've gained about 8lbs and am getting a bigger and tighter belly everyday. I can't believe there is only 3 months 3 weeks and 4 days left till she gets here. I feel like I am not having anything done or planned yet..and if you know me I am a planner!

Well off to do some more work. Fun times. I'd rather be napping!

Nearing the 22 week mark

Ok so I've again been a bad blogger...sorries!

My sweet loving (albeit very outspoken) Granny came for a visit and we went to our 1/2 way ultrasound...so she got to see that the baby is a GIRL! We are so overly excited. I can't believe that in a few short months we will finally after all this time be holding our Precious baby girl. Everything is on track and she looks healthy. Her heartbeat is normal and her heart is beautiful. They have found nothing physical with her that should be of concern and I am released from the Perinatologist! On to just the OB for us! I still am in shock that we are even pregnant much less that everything is going forward so smoothly. So far so good.

I am feeling better. Still tired alot...but I am guessing that is to be expected. I look like a small Budda..but I am happy and I eat often, just not alot at one time.

So that's all for this post.

Tapeworm is a Girl...not a tapeworm...more like a wiggle worm.
We have family coming in for Thanksgiving and then off to see the Saints whip on the Cowboys! Whoo hoo!

19 weeks and please can I have a nap?

Alrighty made it week 19 today. Finally moved into prego pants, due to my little pooch I got going on. I just have to know, what the heck, my friends all told me about this little enegery burst they got in the second trimester of their pregnancy...where the heck is mine? I am sooo tired all the time. I bet its as the Dr. says "due to my age". I just want to sleep. Can I please quit working so I can nap when I want to? Please!

Well Tapeworm is a moving and a shaking in this little belly of mine. I feel it from time to time and its amazing. I wish it was more often and a little stronger just so the Mr. can feel it more!

As far as eating goes...well here is a plus, I am loving being able to eat and eat what I want when I want, meaning all the time!

Plans coming up, FAMILY TIME! Granny coming 1st week of Nov to be with us as we find out if Tapeworm is really a tapeworm or a girl or a boy! Then Thanksgiving will come with my Brother in Law and family and My Daddy! I can't wait! Then to the In Laws for Christmas and back to NOLA for New Years...then my most wonderful Feb where my "girls" in my family will be here to do a baby room weekend! My cousins and Aunts and Grandma and my Momma! Yay! Then it will be March before we know it and Tapeworm will make his/her appearance. What an amazing experience I am having.

Oh for the complaints, still with the pesky headaches and my hips are KILLING me. And did I mention my sinsuses? I've never had to take meds like this before! But I guess its not much and could be so much worse and I am still happy happy.

Things are always going to work out in the end.

"Life isn't fair, but it's still good."

18 weeks

I wrote this one and it didn't post. Ugh.

Yes I made it to 18 weeks. There was a time when I thought I wouldn't even be pregnant much less be pregnant this long! Almost half way! I can't believe it. I was watching Guilliana and Bill Ransic show and cried my eyes out as they go thru IVF. I was just there. I remember every moment, every tear, every worry, every thought. It was rough...but we did it, my body did it and here we are. Though I can't say I still don't worry that the baby and I won't make it all the way. I still try to enjoy all the happy parts. Like last night, getting a massage, the massagist was working on my hips and tiny little kicks. It was like the Tapeworm was saying, hey I'm here rub me too! LOL.

There have been so many crazy stressful things going on in our life recently. And I am trying to learn to take it one day at a time and one issue at a time. Easier said than done, but at least I am trying. And I am doing it. In the end it will all work out for the best and in the end it will just be as it should be.

Lastly just sending out prayers for those I know need it..Granny, Gma, Mom, darling Mr. and my Treen (i love you)

I will never go in the attic alone again...I promise.

This past lovely weekend I went up in the attic while Mr. was out car shopping. I wanted the fall decoarations down and thought it was no big deal. I've done this many times before and the box is very light and so is the wreath. I got it all together and put it at the top of the stairs. As I was getting ready to get down (OH I must write the story about the words Get Down another time) I was on the small edge to the left with one foot, Reached to the right with my hand to grab the two by four to steady myself and reached down with my other foot to step on the stairs. And thats when it happened! My toes slipped (yes I was doing this with no shoes on and in my pjs), my foot was dangling, I was in a split with one leg on the ledge in the attic, my arm stretched as far as it would go and my body convlusing with fear. As I dangled I imagined falling and hitting my head and landing like Goldie Hawn in Death Becomes her, all broken and backwards.
I finally composed myself and got my foot on the ladder and layed against it, still in a split while I stopped shaking. Grabbed the wreath went down and went back up and got the box. I really wanted to decorate. And closed up the attic stairs.

I promise to never go in the attic alone again.

But my door and my house look like fall now!

Ehh 16 weeks?

Now tell me this isn't crazy. First we are told we are due March 17 by the IVF Dr., Then by the OB Dr its March 18, now by the Perinatal Dr its March 19...someone make up your mind. Geeze. I am tired of all the date changes. Baby comes when it comes, you do all your weird dating and keep it to yourself. And really if you want to know I think more like March 6th time about.

And little one had the legs crossed the whole time. WOuldn't show nothing. But they continued to guess that its a girl. So yay Team Pink! I think we are pretty much settled that it will be a girl.

The pics are cute. I am feeling better each and everyday, execept for my sinuses draining. Maybe we will give this another shot next year!
